I was invited to some closed Betas before too, and yes Early Access is a sometimes a Alpha Build or a Beta Build. But they still need to do a LOT of work before we can really call it Rimworld3D. It runs smoothly, doesn't crash, and has the basics of a number of systems working. Well, I feel that this is a good foundation. These days, the pool is larger (early access), you pay for it, and a whole lot of folks expect a finished product. I was fortunate to be invited to a few betas back then (as my computer usually met specs for which they were looking). You "played" for free but if you didn't do timely reports, you'd be replaced. Back in the day, betas were by invitation after a screening process, and if you were invited, you expected rounds of releases, and you wrote up what you found in reports. These devs are using it like old school beta, where they tweak, release (new save), see what works and what doesn't, interate (i.e., rinse & repeat). I have a main cook/researcher, main construction and main crafter. I focus each survivor on 1-2, sometimes 3 tasks. So no one can do much of anything that requires higher lvl skills. By the second attack, usually around Day 10, my survivors are equipped with bows and I have a set of 100+ traps to lure whatever combo wave I may get. I take whoever is carrying the single pistol and head to their spawn location as soon as I get the notification. Out of all the attempts I've tried, I always only get the small beetles for first attack, which you can dispose of without any traps or other defenses. I'm currently using Simon as main and Ken as secondary crafter.Īttacks always begin 5th day for me for my particular seed. I have seen people swear by Vivian as a crafter. I agree crafting equipment sets takes a long time to do. It's enjoyable and addictive, but once you realise it's broken in so many ways, it'll put you off playing if you only have 1% OCD in you. The Animal Attacks happen to often and with to many Enemys, sure you can win the Fights but currently its more a get 2 things done and another attack. The Game is nice, but has some bugs to fix and Balancing does not really exist.Ĭrafting takes to much time, the NPC have Pathing Issues. The game is great I sank easily over 150 hours.
